mmhnemo- HI! Glad you liked the tut.

I took a quick look at the copbot. Very nice form and optimization! You don’t really want the legs deforming (which they will have to do if they are one piece) cause it will look like a flexi arm. Each part of the legs/arms should be seperate at it’s pivot point. Other than that it’s top drawer A#1!

Here’s one version of the van. I’ve uploaded it to my FTP area in a ZIP format. It uses the same maps as the previous vans to keep things tidy.

will be out of touch for a few days, all macs at work have picked up some virus called “mydoom”, so i am spending the weekend checking my home rig, it may take some time, there are one or two hard drives to check:thumbsup:

Sorry for the absence and delay in getting the first couple building tutorials up. The lure of fresh powder was totally overpowering!
Anyways I’m back and the first two building modeling tutorials are now available from the Shirow Project Forums! I’ll try and get the third one up Monday or Tuesday. Meaning most likely Tuesday. While it only takes a short while to make the objects, writing the tutorials take me alot longer.

Softdistortion - I have the train and I’ll work on animating it. I should be able to get it done and something rendered tomorrow (Sunday)

By the way, the building models are somewhat crappy. Its the textureing that really make them. GREAT WORK SOFTDISTORTION:applause:

Aurora- Thanks for adding the tuts to enhance the team’s forum even more…It’s starting to become quite nice in there!:thumbsup: …Just don’t burn yourself out…You might even want to consider spreading the tuts out a little bit more to make them kinda episode like…keep us coming back for the next one??? Just a suggestion… I’ll leave it to you.

Also, Thanks for helping with the train…I’ll try to use the slack you’re giving me on that and make some headway on the dropship and city street scene. I need a good stretch of uninterrupted time to get the buildings textured and set up. Also since they aren’t fitting properly, I need to re model and texture the streets I had previously made up.

As for your other comments> Your buildings are not at all crappy! Without your BRILLIANT models there would be nothing!

TEAM- In all…Looking at the models, renders and animations clips we have already produced, I would say We, as a TEAM, all contributed essential elements to the whole. I also think I can confidently say that the upcoming animations will be pretty SWEET. :wink:

its cool, i’m on top off it, … just wondered how high the poly count was, decided which way i am gonna do it, low poly for animation and gaming type thing:thumbsup:

Scene test. > Of course I had to PS it to extreme again! :stuck_out_tongue:
Still needs texture work on the ship interior and some of the exterior surfaces too but thought I should let you have a quick look.

Aurora has the train animated (thanks aurora!) and we will try to do a few second cutscene section of the dropship flying in beside the speeding trian…ehhhh…should look OK I guess. :shrug:

I uploaded a train.rar file that has everything in it. Read the Email I sent you first though. Will do that extra modeling I mentioned either late tonight or first thing in the morning.

mmhnemo- finally got to the copbot…WOW…WOW…WOW! That Looks Sensational!
Legs will animate now. I’ll just need to divide the fronts as they are still directly part of the body. NP though. Super work!
I’ll try to manage a texture on it in between the animation Aurora and I are doing…cause i would like to see it in action! :drool:

As soon as Smoke and Jayreef work things out on the guges, we will have all the elements needed to do one of the main panels in the Mission#2 render. I will make an effort to do atleast some rough renders of that once the models are in!:thumbsup:

I was just thinking how When you first joined the team you were a bit worried about whether you would be able to cut it…The jumps you made during these models really prove you have what it takes. Glad you’re with US! Thanks for your contributions:applause:
