shape tween

#1

does any1 know what’s up with the shape tween in flash?
i’m doing some basic things like skewing my object, but my object seems to do some flips before he decide to skew.

isn’t it possible to morph point by point like with 3d applications?

go to the first frame of your shape tween, then press [modify] -> [transform] -> [add shape hint] (or ctrl+shift+h)
a little “a” should appear on stage. grab it and move it to a point on the outline of your shape. then move to the next keyframe of the tween and move the “a” to the point which corresponds to the point in the first frame. if nothing went wrong the “a” should turn green. repeat all of this as many times as you need, depending on how complex your shape is. shape tweens are always hard to control, so it might take some tweeking to archieve the desired result

Cool
this works for me on a single shape

but now i’m trying to animate 3 words, but it’s almost impossible to control all the letters (espcially on the 3rd keyframe)

i broke my text apart moved and skew all the letters together and used a lot of shape hints.
but after couple of shape hints they seemed not to have any affect.

maybe i should just do it in max and export it to flash

anyway thanx for the help
