Axis Animation are looking to hire several Talented individuals to join our award winning team of artists in 2006
These are all freelance positions - work will involve producing the highest quality externally rendered game cinematics and are for varying durations over the coming 6 months (ie from August till December)- please contact us for specific details
Succesful candidates for some positions may be considered for future permenant employment
General requirements:
We are looking for people with minimum 3 years Production experience (preferably in film/TV FX or high end game cinematic production) allthough allowances may be made for exceptional candidates
Candidates for CG related positions should be able to demonstrate conderable talents in producing realistic and/or stylised computer generated images and Effects using the following software packages:
Maya
Lightwave
Renderman/ Renderman for Maya
Syflex
combustion
Again we may make allowances for different software experience for exceptional candidates willing to retrain on the job - however we are not able to offer fulltime training on any software for these positions
Candidates with EU nationality are preferred but we can try to help with work permits for those from other Countries if required - please enquire for more information
These positions are all inhouse at our studio in Glasgow, UK, so please do not apply if you are not able or willing to relocate for the duration of the contract
Please accompany your submissions with a CV and a showreel of your work (DVD preferable) together with a breakdown of what aspects of the shown work you undertook yourself
Rates are negotiable and will be based on experience and specific position
CG Supervisor - immeditate start - experienced candidates only please - candidates must have considerable experience setting up and trouble shooting CG and FX pipelines
Production Co-ordinator - from August
Rendering support (2 positions) from end of Aug - candidates must be comfortable troubleshooting windows based networking hardware/software environments and preferebaly have some experience with Maya/Lightwave related rendering pipelines
Surfacing/Shading/lighting TDs - immediate start- candidates must have experience setting up maya shading networks and rendering p and producing texture maps for photoreal surfaces - renderman experience a big plus
VFX TDs- immediate start- candidates should be experienced in setting up and rendering complex volumetric particle effects (eg smoke, flames, etc) in maya, renderman and/or lightwave
Cloth and Dynamics TDs - immediate start - candidates should be relatively experienced with Maya dynamics and peferably also with syflex cloth simulation
Compositors - from end of August - combustion and/or shake experience required
