NCSoft is seeking an experienced Senior TD\VFX Artist to join its seasoned team of industry professionals led by key contributors of award winning massively multiplayer games. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a highly creative environment at NCsofts headquarters in Austin, Texas.
As Senior Technical Artist you will be responsible for the development of rapid prototypes and highly technical art assets according to the agreed design and within the constraints of the target hardware and software.
SKills should include mastery of mesh and texture development process, technical prototypes, materials development, art Tools and Processes Technical Specifications, particle effects, and the ability to rapidly previzualize creative technical solutions on the fly.
Further opportunities include technical oversight of art process integration with software tools, pipeline development and asset workflow processes.
Requirements:

8+ years of professional 3D artist experience.

(4+ years senior technical artist experience)

Min. 2 shipped products (games, movies, television)

Master level expertise in 3DstudioMax 7 and Photoshop CS
-
Strong understanding of modern 3D hardware as it relates to art production and game engines

Extensive experience with modeling, texturing, and lighting 3D environments

Strong, demonstrable abilities in traditional art

Creative, proactive problem solver.

Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with both Artists and Programmers

Highly motivated individual with solid leadership and team skills

Mature, positive individual with ability to approach art development with objectivity.
