Masters & Savant, is seeking an experienced Senior Animator to head our department of talented 2D and 3D artists in the Johannesburg Office. Applicants must have at least 5 years industry experience and be technically and creatively excellent.

The kind of person we are looking has ability to work well in a team and independently, has good communication skills, is dedicated and above all, has a positive temperament and is a problem solver. You should be experienced, calm, industry seasoned and management material.
Our company has experienced amazing growth and phenomenal success over the last two years and we are looking for a veteran who will be integral in the companies’ ongoing expansion and commitment to creating the best creative work possible.
Functions will also include advising on systems and creation of pipelines in conjunction with Operations to benefit animators, and feedback to HR on the progress and growth areas of the animators team, and to advise the producers with expected timelines on jobs.
Skills
Overall Animation and Technical Direction of Animation Projects – should be technically very strong and able to advise on all technical requirements of the animation department, such as:
3D Max / Maya or XSI
AfterEffects / Combustion / Shake
Networking and Rendering experience
A background in VFX work would be an advantage as we see this as a growth area.
