This is my initial scrat. When I JPEG’d this I neglected to leave the head Scrat layer on.

I know I should work out the whole image but I just fealt compelled to work on her face and hair. I figure that when you’re painting, what I hope to be a gorgeous woman, getting her looks right is of paramount importance.

This is at the point where I’m happy with how she looks facially. I think she looks strong and capable, mature and confident. Yup, I reckon she can kick enemy spy butt!

#5

So now I’ve spent way to much time on her face I have to concentrate on the rest of her. I know that I’ve caused myself one or two problems here in that I’ve gone all tight. Still I just have to loosen up and get everthing else to match. If anyone is reading this I hope you can get what I’m rambling on about.

This is a Work in Progress. I still have many elements to complete

#7

Now this is the first time I’ve had a proper crack at a CG Society Challenge, and I gotta tell you it’s a lot different to other challenges I’ve participated in. For starters, all this submit entry business, is initially very confusing. Also, posting concepts, references and the like…heck I’ve jumped the gun big style by jumping straight into painting! Still it’s done so I’ll gamely carry on and hope for the best.:hmm:

your girl is so beautiful like the look on her face

#9

Thanks Douah. All I have to do now, is the rest of her!

#10

Yup, you did the face well. I hope there will be an element to be as impressive in details as her face to get the piece very interesting.

Yeh I started out thinking, huh gorgeous girl, big gun…all very gratuitous and impulsive on my part, but this isn’t my first attempt. So I figure my previous efforts constitute concept design and pre-visualisation. I’ll post these shortly, along with inspirational material. This character has a bit of a backstory. If anyone is familiar with my work you’ll know I often recurr characters and many of my paintings belong to a narrative that’s played out in a series. I just have to figure out some sort of story to go with this…mmm, I’d better get my thinking cap on.
