Wow, thanks for the great comments everyone, they are really appreciated. Makes all that hard work worth while. Thanks again
hay man,
Thanks for reminding me about crediting inspirations.
I thought that I would return the favour as I do enjoy your entry.
As much as I like The Runner for all of its originality, quality and greate choreography. I think that you should credit “Run Lola, Run” as it is in fast very similar. That will keep you from any trouble in case someone picks on it. All the best.

I have never actually seen Run Lola Run, So any similarities are purely coincidental. Thanks though.
Not at all. There is nothing wrong with redoing some movies or shots or being inspired by them. In many pixar animations there are references to other movies some intentional and some not (just similar). True Lies was mentioned by destruct007 at the beginnig of the competiton so its not a secret. Even if you haven’t seen “Run Lola, Run” (greate film btw) someone might question it, but not now that you mentioned it that you didn’t. Just wanted to help.
I cant view the full thing on mine

I’m not sure why it’s not working for you. Did you try giving it some time to buffer? Seems to work for everyone else.
Let me know if it works for you later.
Thanks
working now. Not sure why it wasnt before. my cache maybe?
Cool anim by the way, animations are spot on dude. congrats.
Thanks sknne77, teleliq, rsluman, and everyone else…
I’m glad you like the animation. I spent the most time on the animation side of things as I wanted it to look really fluid. It’s also what I enjoy doing most.
Thanks again for the support
I wasn’t really following any of these threads (I don’t know why - so much to learn from lol) but I truely LOVE your style - I remember you had posted another picture of your central character a while back, with a “what, it wasn’t me” look and ever since then I’ve always wanted to see him animated.
You’ve done really well…and I truely hold your work in the ‘this is inspiring, I better work my butt off’ genre. Love the composition and camera angles used in some of the scenes and love the style.
A real well deserved win richard. I don’t think anybody had any doubt about this win. Congratulations!
