Secret Agent Entry: Michael Krupa

Hi - we’ve decided to participate in a challenge. By “we” I mean me - Michael Krupa, Peter Kosmala and Maciej Szczyglowski. Here’s a short scenario of our video
Title: AquaYUM!
Duration: approx. 30 seconds
Characters:
Feishes two female fishes, stupid and vain, one is skinny, the other is fat.
Gyro male Gyrinocheilus, smaller than the fishes; gray, ugly, cynical and tired.
Secret Agent theme interpretation: It doesn’t have to be a Super Agent with a hi-tech toys. Our agent is an informer, haggling information based on a simple rule ‘something for something’.
The Script:
SCENE 01
EXT. IN FRONT OF THE RESTAURANT NIGHT
Late evening. The rain is falling. We see the restaurant from the outside. There’s a big neon sign hanging over the doors that says: ‘AquarYUM! The best seafood in town’.
SCENE 02
INT. THE RESTAURANT CONTINUATION
We hear restaurant noises: people talking, chewing, knocking of a cutlery and a wineglasses, etc. But our attention is focused on something else - a big aquarium standing in the corner.
Behind the glass wall we begin to see a silhouettes of two fishes and a gyrinocheilus.
We hear a voice over, speaking in low, trailer-like voice:
VOICE OVER
They witnessed a crime–
SCENE 03
INSIDE THE AQUARIUM
Feishes and Gyro are looking at the restaurant through the front glass wall. There’s something that caught their attention.
Suddenly we head a GUN SHOT and we see a BRIGHT FLASH. Feishes are surprised, but Gyro is terrified.
The people in the restaurant start to scream and run in panic.
We see an object flying towards the aquarium. Fishes see it too. Then a SPLASH! happens, the object hits the water and sinks down into the abyss of the aquarium. Fishes looks as this big thing swims towards them and stops buried into the aquarium sands.
It’s a gun shell.
SCENE 04
Feishes look stupidly at the gun shell.
FAT FEISH
Hey chick, what’s that?
SKINNY FISH
I don’t know. But it’s lovely. Let’s play!
SCENE 05
Feishes are playing with a gun shell. They swim crazy fast in all directions, giggle, just play crazy with a lethal object.
Meanwhile, Gyro is pissed off, attached to the front glass wall of the aquarium, hoping of being somewhere else, far away from the idiots.
VOICE OVER
This summer–
SCENE 06
Feishes are looking at their reflections in a gun shell. They turn around like ladies in a dressing room. They enjoy it very much.
SKINNY FEISH
Look! What a beautiful stripes I have on my side!
SCENE 07
There’s a big message cut of in algas saying: ‘The shell is here’. Gyro is standing next to it. He knocks into front glass wall, trying to get an attention.
VOICE OVER (cont.)
–the agent–
SCENE 08
Feishes torture Gyro. They squeeze him in the corner of the aquarium.
VOICE OVER (cont.)
–is a victim.
FAT FEISH
Where is it??? Give it back!!!
SCENE 09
Another message cut of in algas. Now it says: ‘I’ve helped you, take me away from those idiots!’. Gyro is sticked to the glass next to it. He spreads his fins and looks hopeless through the glass wall with a tears in his eyes…
CUT TO BLACK
The title appears ‘AquarYUM!’ Coming soon to the restaurant near you.
SUDDEN CUT
One of the feishes laughs hysterically.
END

Hey kroopson, I love the character concepts and the AquarYUM name. I also like the flow of writing; I think it works well visually.
Overall I’m not sure if the concept puts across the secret agent theme very well though; maybe something you would like to work on a bit more if you have the time.
Good luck all the same - I don’t think there’s another “fish” themed entry, so this should be interesting.

we’re doing our best. Texturing is done. Right now we’re making final touches on lighting and rendering. I guess we’ll be ready almost on the deadline
