Hello,

my progress is very slow at the moment. In two weeks i have my vacations, and i don’t go anywhere (no money ), i think i will have much time to work really hard. Up to then, i try to get everything done for animating then.

Here you see some pictures of the scene. I discovered, that the light here will be a hard task to manage. On the one hand i want the warm orange of a sunset, on the other hand the cool blue of electric light. This contrast should set the two characters in juxtaposition. I hope to get this right.

i am still on it, now i began to build the city (on rock’n’roll… uhhh…koffkoff…), where a part of the story takes place. Here you can see, that i wont become plain black/white, but i want to play with light to emphasize mood and atmosphere.

Loving the look here. I agree that it really stands out from the other entries. I’m glad you’re working with a broader palette than Renaissance… I personally found that style stark to the point that it was taking away from the potential visual appeal rather than serving it.

Keep at it DB; looking forward to more updates.
