Secret Agent Entry: Dariusz Sebastian Burdon
Hey.
Uploaded images shot a bit of how was the green screen shoot done.
On 2 images my wife Ewa is putting the make up on my… it wasn’t real makeup… it was just to make skin matte so that it does not shine in the light and reflect green.
Two images with the camera which I have borrowed for 2 days from my friend Brendan. As I do not work on MAC or Final Cut. it than took the whole weekend to convert 25 min that I shot into the usable format. My wife was very helpfull. She was pressing rec button when needed and helped me move the stuff. I didn’t have people to help me with the shoot because the shoot was very unexpected. I got the phone call that unfortunately I can’t use camera on weekend, as I originally planned, therefore shoot was movet to the next day.
Hey I didn’t know You are the agent!
Curious to see the live footage. Great going.
redCigarette - Thanks
Yes… I am the agent. It was my plan form the very beginning. There are few reason for that. One is that as animator it is good to do some acting in front of the camera (as I did in school plays). It does help to get into character. Another reason for it is that I have limited access to camera… and arranging few people and camera on the same day turned out to be a problem.
loving the progress, look at u green screening! cool stuff. like the gun briefcase, looks well smart!

Hey.
This is the shot of jets (F14 again) flying through Chicago (where part of the movie is based)
I know that it is a bit blury, but this is a fast and rapid shot.
Last weekend was one of the busiest weekends ever. I managed to almost finish some shots and others I got rendered.
What do you think?
fgdf - You are right… I video would be better.
I just wanted to tease you guys… but it is a great shot in the end.

I am working on car explosion. There will be few passes to it. this is just a test I did today after wrok… I am not happy with it. I will play around more tomorrow.
Fuuuummee
Always has that look, but lucky its a cool look. If I was a max guy I’m sure I’d have tons of helpful advice for you
Good luck!
Hello!
What kind of explosion is it - what you wanted to achive ? Becouse in my opinion it doesnt look like a rocket or tank explosion. It’s too slow and too short , it has to be more dynamic, and ball of fire should be bigger, fire itselve should live longer.
Have you seen some movie references ?
good luck!

It is just a part of the whole explosion… here will be huge fireball comming from the inside of the car. I am working on it just now before work :). It is a rocket explosion.
EDIT:
I could imagine it as two explosion one after another with 2 frame offset… like first rocket blows up and than car’s tank.
the way the explosion occurs i thing the car should fly more than it does, in this the car seems like its really heavy for sumthing that small, otherwise the explosion looks great. adding more details to the blast would definitely help, which am sure u’r gonna add later. its getting there. ![]()
This is in FumeFx, about a year ago or more I did the Workshop on FumeFx with Alan McKay here at CGScoiety. I have used FFX only few times since than… It is a bit of a recap now
Software: 3ds max
Here are some more test of car explosion.
I was not sure what look I was after but it became clear after few tests.
The last one ( test 8) is the one I decided to go with.
This explosion will be combined with the one from previous update. I will also add some other fx perhaps some live action footage… we will see once I am putting it together.
Please let me know what you think.
nr 8 is by far the best. You should either use slowmo or longer fire life / emmision time.
