I have done some test renders of gun and briefcase. Not sure if they will be included in the final trailer. If yes, then gun needs rerendering

Enjoy

Cool, are you doing the glare and bloom in post?

Cheers and God bless.

#63

After few long nights I finally have something I am happy with. Seriously… I am happy as hell with this one.

I have quickly modeled 3 buildings and created good textures for it.
A lot of matte painting on the streets and park.
And best of all I have rendered it with no GI to make it faster
All put together in AE over about 5 hours.

Its after 2 am and I am falling asleep. This was jet another long day.

Enjoy.

That Rooftop pans brillz!Love all the little cars on the road too!

#67

Great view and composition… the small alley, smaller buildings, … Maybe the park can have some more lightning, or some benches, …

Am curious about the other shots

Peter

Thanks guys.
I have just aded few more cars at the bottom street.
I am having week hollidays so there will be fewer updates within next week.
While on holidays, I will do a photoshoot in Chicago for Chicago shots.
After holidays I will be finally shooting green screen as I have sorted out professional camcorder that is supposed to give good key. can’t wait.

have nice time,

shot from top looks good - exept park, needs to fit more to rest of envirnoment. Try to make some simple alpha textures for trees from top view (one by one on top - few will make feeling of full objects.) that way you will rescue details and some better lighting and colors in park area. Also you can use trees included in max , and mix stuff. Its simple way for making this shot better, i guess. Just advice;)

#70

I really like this shot a lot. Share with us your work on the texturing of the buildings. They look great!

#71

Dude you are doing so much work so quickly I can’t believe how far you’ve already gone! Your getting modeled, textured and light freakin’ fast! Nice work so far. I’d like to see it all edited together to get the big picture. Keep it up! …er slow it down! lol.

#72

I Just came back from holidays in Chicago where I did great photoshoot for some of the shots I am working on. I also decided to add few new ones.

I am modelling car. Not a particular one but more like concept car. Kind of combination between few that I have seen during British Auto Show in 2008. I have spent few nigts modelling on my laptop during hollidays… I have to say my laptop is 5 years old and it is slooooooow.

#73

As I mentioned in previous posts. I have modeled a car. It is not based on any particular brand, but rather build up referring to few. I find it easier and faster not following any particular model as I can design it on the go… it also leads me into few problems where I had to remodel bits over and over again until I am happy.
Well… I am happy with this one.

In the original idea I wanted to do Mini Morris but I realised that it would be too boring.

#74

I have just noticed that seats are a bit out of scale :)… I think I need to give it a bit more love.

Hey.

I have played around to create rather realistic burning piece of paper.
This scene shows the notice or rather plan of killing the agent. In the animatic this shot comes after agent blows up a car that chases him.

This one is still WIP but at least it is something I can show moving rather than posting still frames or modelling previews.

Today after work I started ironing cloth for green screen. Ohh my god… 2 cloths 3 meters by 6 meters is a lot of ironing. My friend took a picture with his mobile so I will post it soon.

Other good news, my friend Brendan agreed to lent me his camcorder to shoot green screen. It is a professional equipment therefore I will need to learn how to use it.

Thanks.

Excellent work, man !! You are faster than lots of teams.

The burning paper is still a WIP, but the base of the flames is not that good for now ( compared to the rest of your work). Should be darker I think.

Good luck, I’ll follow this thread closely

#77

Thanks Pangloss.
Yeah it is still WIP. I need to burn some paper and take a close look what it looks like in reality. I think it looks OK. Fire took over a night to simulate and another one to render so it is a little pain in the back to redo, but I can alter it in post a little.

I still have soooo much to do with shooting green screen etc. Other people have done it already, therefore I don’t really think I am so much ahead of other.

#78

Hey nice job on the FX! Your a pretty damn good generalist.

#79

Thanks man. I am doing pretty much everything… I enjoy some things more and some less

Yay, pierzak blazing the way forth (literally, :p).

As I’ve said before, your work ethic is really inspiring and it’s great to see how much you’re accomplishing single-handedly.

I like your car design; a nice mix of the old and new. It partially reminds me of some die cast car toy designs from the old days.

Keep up the work man!

Best regards, Varun
