Secret Agent Entry: Dale Meece

#16

I see what you are saying. I might just change the gun to match the character more (it means modeling another gun, but there’s still plenty of time, so I might just go for it). I don’t know what type of gun would go best, but it has to be a rifle or automatic of some kind.

Thank you for pointing this out to me, I really appreciate it

I’ve been doing some thinking for the gun my spy will be holding. I’m thinking of either a ‘browning 9mm 1903’ or a ‘M 1911 A1’ (both handguns). I’m not too sure how important this choice will be. In the scene, he’ll be placing the gun on the ground.

#17

Still trying to get that evil grin down…

#18

Finally have something I’m happy with. Now I can finally move on to the rest of the character.

#19

Reference image I’m using for the labcoat my evil genius will be wearing (the one the man’s wearing).

#20

Current progress: Labcoat, shirt, tie, and hands/arms added. Fingers/hand looks a little large, will fix. Need to get the rest of him modeled soon (still so much work that needs done!)

#21

Finished with the modeling of my evil genius character. Next comes the lair/hideout.

#22

Just some character placement testing. Once they are posed, hopefully it will look a little better.

#23

Texturing test. I’m not happy with the shirt, will be changing it, just not sure which color to go with just yet.

#24

updated the textures. I like this look much better than the previous.

That line on the top of the pants is just from the lighting setup (4 point lights arranged around the scene, each set at 25% brightness).

#25

Some more work. completed the texturing on my evil genius and got him posed (somewhat, it needs tweaking). I may change his hands to gloves (latex?), or just leave them, dunno yet. Tomorrow I’ll get the henchman textured.

#26

More texture work. I didn’t notice until earlier today that I forgot to add eyebrows to the evil genius and spy characters. Will have to get those added.

After that, I’ll get to work on the posing again.

#27

just a small update (posed the henchman holding the gun (decided to keep it)). Decided to hold off on the eyebrows for now.

#28

I decided to jazz it up a little. Modeled some concept security drones, then did some photoshop work to help visualize a final image (still not certain).

#29

small update to the drones. I’m thinking of having them (one or both) fire at least one laser at the secret agent.

#30

Took the tentacles and created a bump map for each one, you can’t see it too well due to the smaller image size. The more I work with these drones, the more I’m liking the idea. I’ll eventually get back to the posing…

#31

Added stuff to the scene (the background). Pose for secret agent… not sure about.

#32

Just a lighting test. I’m trying to set the right mood. I added a negative light to get this look.

#33

Just trying to figure out what I want my final scene to look like. I don’t really have a good idea yet.

#34

Just another idea I’m playing with…

Jack - The Clumsy Secret Agent

As a child, Jack would watch hours upon hours of movies. These movies always involved a spy/secret agent saving the world from impending danger. As he grew up, he became more and more fascinated with the secret agent lifestyle. He would always go around town, trying to sneak past random strangers in random buildings. If he saw an old lady trying to cross the street, he was right there to help her. He was always trying to do good, no matter what it might involve.

When Jack reached adulthood, he enrolled in a new government traning program, entitled MI9. This was a program used to train secret agents, who would later be used to help protect the world from those who would want to do us harm. After several months of training, Jack received his first mission; Infiltrate the hideout of the evil Dr. Kardash, and bring him in… dead or alive.

After finally locating Dr. Kardash’s secret hideout on a remote island in the south Pacific, Jack set off on his first mission. Upon landing, he quickly located the switch for the hidden intrance to the hideout. Once inside, he searched like mad to find the doctor. After several hours had passed, and unknowingly tripping the alarm, Jack managed to find an elevator with a sign next to it which read “Dr. Kardash’s lab.” So he took the elevator down to what he thought was the lab. Unfortunately, it was all an elaborate trap. For as soon as Jack stepped out of the elevator, he was faced with several security drones and a few henchman; all of which were prepared to fire. As Jack reached for his gun, he realized that he forgot to pack it.

Meanwhile, Dr. Kardash is watching everything unfold from a monitor in another room, with a nice, evil grin on his face. For this day is one that evil geniuses look forward to, the day they capture a secret agent.
