As u may know, I often change color scheme during my painting process, and this image is no exception. I went for more brownish tones here, which also helps me with detailing at the moment. Im still thinking what to do with the background… will there be a sky, curtains, clouds, etc… I’ll see what will pop in my mind at that time

paperclip: yea, the thing on the left side is a leg of a guard in the front, which will be lightened up and textured with some japanese textile pattern or replaced with something else… donno what yet, but I need something there thnx for the crit!
luxi: hey buddy! ninjas dont always have masks, especially when they r captured… but I’ll make them more different than those monster samurais! and the one in the back, with the poisoned apple, he mustnt have a mask, otherwise he will be suspicius

and i can see the ninja now, he just needed some detail to separate him from the others. Love the one in the back with the apple, love the light, but i did prefer the old color scheme, but that is just a personal preference. As for the backgrnd i think like a mongolian/general tent would be really cool.

hehe Michael, thnx so much for those encouraging words but here is the situation: 10 print size paintings in next 3 months, 2 days per week full time job as an art director for another company, couple of storyboards for music video and 3 other “smaller” projects… I just hope I’ll eat and sleep enough to survive But after October will pass by I’ll be free as a bird again… if nothing else drops by.
