Hey,
Looking good. Character’s I am not convinced with facial expression… eyes stay still and overall face is a bit stiff. All the rest is fine.
Secret Agent Entry: Bartosz Bialek
Thanks Pierzak.
I’ll play with it. He’s supposed to look dull and sleepy. Less sleep - more work for me

Hey, these environments are cool. Have you thought about audio yet? I think that’s an important part.
Thoughts so far:
- Impressive number of shots you’re getting done.
- Shot of foot hitting the ground is a little soft… doesn’t feel heavy enough.
- Not sure about the camera sway after the camera moves up above the character in the rain.
- Camera moves a little much for my taste… but I tend to really prefer static shots, could be just me.
- The guard’s walk feels light & mechanical - I think we need to see more weight settling when he steps. Even when it’s stealthy steps. I haven’t done much animation but maybe try to do more with the hips.
Hope this is helpful,
Mike
Thanks for your time and suggestions Mike.
Ill look at the shoe shot once again - It may look silly but it’s quite a demending shot;)
Camera work… I made my last movie too static - I want this one to be way more dynamic - kinda action movie first scene. Static shot will be used to lower movie dynamics and give viewer a breathe( this is the plan
)
Guard’s walk … hips - yes you guessed its still my pain… I mean its wip
thanks men ,
good luck

Hi Bartosz
you have some really cool ideas and shots are looking good.
Character animation needs work, I would also tune down some crazy camera motions here and there.
Reflection of the spy in the coffee works great, just make sure it is really clearly visible.
Keep it up
Grzesiek
Hi Grzegorz
Thanks for your words and support.
I’d really love to hear what shots hurts your (else’s) eyes most.
Color grading is still ahead. Now I’m working on the last 7 shots. All next week is planned for fixes & improvements
cheers!

hello!
I decided to change final sequence of shots so I’m quite busy whit it
You can see here 3 shots of which any isn’t sure to get to the final editing. I’m “changing choreography” visible on the last shot. There’s a lot going on frankly speaking.
…less talk more work. Let’s do this

great cinematography here! i really like the level of control that your shots are showing… Good entry!
I was beeing so fastidious about how much time has left I thought myselfe that deadline is tommorow morning (polish time). Obviously it’s not :applause:. So there’s plenty of time now :D. I will post relase candidate later this day
Thanks for having the clock in NZ guys:D
Software: 3ds max,After Effects
Trailer and full movie are now ready.
I’m still working on audio.
Later I will upload final entry submission without audio first
Last day of the challenge… crazy as usual
Cheers!

Just wanted to ask you for feedback about brightnes and contrast If you have any problem watching the movie ( I mean its all black or grey) please let me know!
thanks!
Brightness was fine on my end.
Nice looking trailer! There was no sound though…are you going to be able to add some before the deadline?
Thanks Tyson.
I’ve just finished all video works and now I’m working on audio. No fireworks here but I’ll do my best to finish it.

This is it. I decided to put it before last deadline and end my alienation lasting 3 months ;). I've enjoyed this challenege the most. The Idea for this movie was simple- a man without face steling some kind of mystical device. I had a chance to prove I learned from my past mistakes. Obviously not becouse 50 shots kept me away from bed for to many nights. I'm aware and sorry that some shots aren't polished as I would have wanted but you know - there is a time you have to say stop. To have my story finished I made some sacrifices ;). I am glad to take part in this challenge with so meny fantastic animators. Thank you guys for your help and inspiration. I like this moment I can finally enjoy effects of your hard work. Congratulations to all participants and enjoy the movie
I forgot to put it in - Movie footage used in my film is from tv series “Lights Out” episode " I Spy!" 1951, via www.archive.org
cheers!

p.s. I'm not a master of audio editing so please keep it in mind during screening ;)

Works fine here, Im using firefox on windows.
Great film, textures and animation needs improvement, but its totally engaging short thriller.
Congratulations. I think you have great sense of direction, layout , pacing etc.
G.
Thanks Grzegorz!
I think you pointed my weaknesses right. I chose to put less effort in textures to have a whole story completed. In future I will try to improve in this area and balance all fields better. For the directing and camera acting it’s very kind of you but you must be aware you’re a men whose work I’ve been using as inspiration and guidance:beer:
