I couldn’t really understand what was going on… Is he a down and out agent addicted to psychedelics that kills people while druged out? I just don’t really see it fitting into the contest theme of secret agent.
Thank you for your response on my post.
It’s OK you didn’t understand the “point” in my work, usually I don’t like to give the viewer “answers” on a silver plate, my intention is to leave some holes open for the imagination of the viewer to complete. As you might find on the contest instruction page:
“Your work must capture the imagination of the viewer and draw them in without relying on any prior knowledge of the story.”
If you would like to get some more clues about my story, the full script is shown on my Storyboard milstone post.
Again, I don’t like to interpret my own works, I wish others to take it to an intresting places, each person with its own world of association. I want to believe my work hides many subtle meanings about agents and enemies, and the forces that drives them.
Hope my answer satisfied you.
Avi
Yes. Thanks for the response. I like your film precisely for the reasons you described. Creating a sense of viewer interpretation is important. I still just can’t find any association to a “secret” agent, but that could just be me.
Still pretty cool though.
I’m happy you liked my work, thank you for mention it.
If we’ll deconstruct the definition “Secret Agent” to high resolution we’ll find anyone can be a such. Take a person who walks in the street with a Coca-Cola shirt - he’s a kind of a secret agent that serves the named company. In The Matrix movie for example, EVERYONE are kind of agents of the SYSTEM, even the rebelions. What I’m trying to say is that a secret agent doesn’t have to be with a black sun-glasses, suit and a gun being sent by a specific “Charly” or institute; It can be a child with a Walkie-talkie toy, on a mission to eat all ice-creams in town, or a man that takes hallucinatory plants to connect his higher entity to guide him what to do…
Well this is how I view the subject. I know it’s a bit extreme…
Hang me…
To be honest, 1rst time i watched it, i was a little confused.
i feel like : did i like it or not ? what is this strange taste in my brain.
finally i watched it a couple of time…
it’s really a strange trip, like a jean"moebius"gireaud comics (le chasseur déprime) or an odilon redon’s painting.
Something strange to explain but great to feel. ( sorry for my limited choice of english words)
i hope to see more of your work in the futur.
Marc
