looking really good! Are you animating yet? or just getting things into place first?
Secret Agent Entry: Aurelien Rantet
I’ve started animating characters but i’m not used to do this kind of work. It’s the first time i rig a character so i work slowly.
Yeah I wanted to add that. Your color palette is really good! We should work together on the next one. Just so great stuff, really like it, looks pro.
Looks good, really fine lighting work plus concepts are so cool. Need to see more
ValenUA is right. Your entry started good but we haven’t heared from you in ages. What’s up?
WOW… I did not think that my work was so esteemed!
So here is the storyboard, maybe it is not really understandable so i give you the script with the third page.
here the third page.
script:
In a not so far future.
An alien artifact has been found in the Siberian desert, and it’s now stored in a military base in the middle of the frozen desert. A member of the EU special forces have been sent for steal this alien technology, but it can’t be so simple…
I know it looks like the script of a Steven Seagull film but it is not serious. I try to mix humor and action, that’s why i use old action movie cliche.
Software: 3ds max,After Effects,mental ray
Here the two firsts scene of my movie.
The introduction have to be changed.
Some part are previsualisation and some part are not finished, there is a lot of things to fix.
All critics are really welcome.
Wow, that’s some update!
Your cinematography is excellent and I love the mood / atmosphere of the lighting. Some of the walks and runs could use a little more weight but overall it’s looking superb, and there’s tons of it!!
Well done…
Very nice. It is the most completed entry so far.
You have put a lot of work into it.
That agent is very cute.
You still have a lot of time to finish the story.
You know what wanders me… is that you made it so fast… its a bit weird. I mean… looking at your forum and when you submitted concept art… than no updates or animatic…and than after 17 days almost final renders seems very very fast… too fast… I am not saying that you haven’t done it yourself or that you had it started or partiality done before competition started, but it just surprices me a lot… and it is with sound fx also… sth smells wierd in here.
Lets not think about how much time it would take to design ,model, animate or even set up lighting… only rendering could take more than 17 days… all different passes, vfx etc. Unless with renderfarm
Tell us the secret please.
Your work looks very good and it has very nice story and design.
Well done.
Looking forward to the finished piece I am sure that within last weeks you will create at leest twice as much as you have done so far.
Good luck
:eek::eek::eek:
I can’t believe it either! Not that I smell foul play but there is a whole hell of a lot of work in that. The fx of him hitting the snow, has a lot of subtlies in it. I can’t believe you didn’t add more updates as shots came together! The explosions, etc. I’m freaking happy when I get one shot half done! Yours is so long, SO long already and basically done.
Is this a team entry? Are you all by yourself? It’s great work really. Either you are a huge talent or you are a team. Either way the entry is really good. Where do you work? How long have you been doing this?
If you are doing this by yourself I am 100% serious I want to hire you right now! (well $$$ depended lol)
the only thing I found on you was this:

I can see the similar styles. I don’t think it’s crazy impossible. I’m just skocked and impressed even if you were a seasoned pro. No joke. I can see why someone can be suspicious. that early rendering was already final, in no time.
the description says in english
work d’ student carried out in 2nd year, by Aurélien Rantet and Cédric Launay, it is also necessary to thank Laura Marqueyssat and Jerome Perez (nonfinal version the sound recording are not made yet)
So you are a student working hard on this (just you?). possible. you have a bright career ahead of you.
I bet this is a team entry or sth like year project at the university, pretending to be an individual.
:argh:
Sweet, nice job. Going to be a really nice final piece. You show a lot of mood and character, everything goes together nicely. For me, up until he gets into the base could use more refinement but for a WIP it’s looking really great.
