//Rough sketch (Pen, Photoshop)

A rough sketch of the base concept. I’ve worked on several ideas at the beginning, but then I finally decided to show secret agents in a hazardous situation, trapped so close to their goal. I want to refers to big twists in thriller movies more than classical hollywoodian success apotheosis…

//Light sketch (Photoshop)

A quite rough sketch of the lighting atmosphere. The agent has been beaten on the floor, holding a broken stick (an old chair or crate ?), ready to fight back. He’s lady partner has been catched by this bad guy’s gorilla… (maybe Gillian Anderson as the “Princess of Paranoia” for reference ?)…

//Light sketch (Photoshop)

I finally decided to add more depth by changing the background. Instead of a concrete wall, that “compress” the image, I’ll add a view on a industrial/futuristic city (sort of steampunk/art deco architecture), to build up the background universe. The downtown artwork is not mine, it’s an illustration by Benjamin Carr? (check it out here >>> http://www.blancfonce.com/). It will not be in the final image of course, it’s only a reference material…

I’m waiting for advice… :wink:

//Color sketch

I’d like to create a rusty sci-fi universe, with “submarine” colors.
I’m open to suggestions !

WOW ! Love it! Colours, angle, contrast, composition, character. Please remember to do it at high resolution, I’d love a print :thumbsup:

Thx ! It’s actually A4 wide (300dpi) so dont worry about the resolution. I’m still about changin’ the main character posture, maybe wipping some blood from his mouth with his arm…

I agree with irvit here :slight_smile: I hope to a high-res version of this some day :slight_smile:
