I’m not entirely sure if this is the right section for this, but it seemed better suited than any other.
A time ago I found this cool tech clip of a cylinder(might have been a full snake model to) with scales rendered using vector displacement(If I recall correctly). The cool thing about it was that when it coiled up, the scales were looking as they were sliding beneath/over each other as opposed to just squashing/stretching.
However I can’t find this clip anymore(like looking for a needle in a haystack) and was just hoping as a last resort, that there might be anyone here who knows what I might be talking about. As I don’t remember fully, I’m not even sure if this is anything I can apply to a model I’m working on, but either way it would be awesome to watch this one again.
