I have a few ideas for different scripting tools, wanted a place to run them by people and get some ideas.
One of the tools I would really like to create is a management tool for rigging. Similar to the outliner but displays things with rigging specifically in mind. For example being able to sort parts of the rig into different layers or sets and sub layers.
Imagine if you could have a bipedal character, and split their four limbs, spine, neck and head into sets. These sets having their own input, output and internal layers. Within the arm layer for example you would have the skeleton, the controls and the different constraints, connections and node trees used.
