Here’s my bunny in it’s second week of life. Please send comments/suggestions my way. Thanks.

Since that looks the same as what I saw in class it’s hard to think of much new to say. I guess in terms of the shadow on the ground, you could pay attention to the difference between the yellow light there and the blue light. The blue light comes from all angles and would only get occluded a little. The yellow light comes from the sun, and the rabbit would certainly block all of that.

Happy Easter Bunny…
So here’s the new version that hopefully fixes the critiques from class. There seems to be a bit of an artifacting/stridation issue on the rim light, so I’m going to rerender that. Thanks for the feedback.
Looks great overall.
It still doesn’t pass what I call the “squint test” - as in, if you squint (or look at it quickly or from a distance), it doesn’t quite pass as something that would fool people.
The biggest problem with the occlusion now is the base of the rabbit itself. The bottom edge of the rabbit, where you’d expect it to be getting very little illumination, almost looks like a white rim along the bottom. The exception would be the very back of the rabbit, the rear leg gets darker closer to the ground, and as a result of that is better integrated with the environment than the lower edge of the torso or the bottom of the front legs.
