Modeling’s great.
But his skin-parts give me the feel of a waxy/plastic actionfigur… Is that intended?

Greetz, Ky.

#3

Modelling is great. The head is a bit of an homage to Anakin/Darth Vader in Return of the Jedi, isn’t it?

#4

looks very good and my only crit is that the whole model looks a bit too dry, skin needs some spec

#5

if i give a bit more spec ,some people will tell ,that it´s like plastic…BTW its in really cold environment-so the skin in env is dry…

#6

hehe true, people will always complain :stuck_out_tongue:

but how about some spec where the blood and wounds are and some in his eyes

just a tiny tiny bit

#7

its final…i dont like to work on it more…

#8

ok, fantastic job all the same:beer:

#9

Great model! :buttrock:

#10

tnx much for your replys!!! yesterday i started new scene…i think, that it would be 200% better than this piece…

#11

no more posts?:((

#12

could you post a wire of the shaded model? would be nice with the wire on top of the render, if its not too much of a trouble

i think it looks so real, like its modeled IRL (clay or something). no accusations made so no offense, but i just want to be sure

#13

the model looks good overall but the right arm muscle, his left looks to square, it looks like a cube /w a few lines drilled into it, plus the right hand could use some work, when i hold somthing in my hand the tips of my fingers come to my lower palm, and the groth off the right side of the back shoudl be toned down, i know its from the back muscle but it sticks out to much. i know your inspiration was from a scuplture, but just because somones else made it doesnt mean their anatomy was correct. anyways keep it up i like the renders. -M

#14

Hmm
there’s indeed something wrong with the back muscle, it sticks out and than goes back in, something wrong there, maybe a wrong deformation because of his pose??
A very muscular model like this one should be as accurate as possible to the real human muscular system

The skin: looks like he’s been in a barrel of bleach mixed with toxic waste which makes his skin peal off (if that’s what you wanted it to look like you did a good job, otherwise it looks too much like clay)

Nice work overall

#15

Only one question.

What meens HDRI? :hmm:

It´s a fantastic character. This night i will not sleep

Ciao

One of the other guys had mentioned that it reminded him of Anikin Skywalker after he fights Obi Wan Kenobi in Star Wars episode 3. I am curious, is that what this image is? Because I was thinking the same thing. Great job by the way, it looks really good.
Show us more on your new piece when it’s done.

#17

wow…so many replys:))

spm-i will i have got nothing more at work…more wires or everithing what you like i can post on monday…

saladbar- i know that the anatomy isnt best…i have still really much to learn…next character will be better:) i promisse!!

THEUNFORGIVEN-skin shader is my biggest problem:( i know about this problem in those 2last renders(only model without env)

#18

HI tes, its superb… can u post some detail wire of his face pls.

#19

such a fine rendering of the shaded model. looks real. keep it up.

#20

Those last couple renders look like they could be photos of a maquette or sculpey model.

Nice work man.

Looks really good. I like the look of your renders. the deep cuts in the geometry that define the various muscles helps get the cool sculpted feel.

Werd!
