Holy cow… Just have to add that some of the artists linked in this thread… well… it’s quite an eye-opener. I rarely do any general art browsing, but apparently I should have done that a long time ago. Some of this stuff is so incredibly great… I really have to start doing some REAL art, must become at least 3000 times better than I am… Concepts!

For obvious reasons, I have never found any photographers that share a similar style, but one person that comes close is Floria Sigismondi … once again… her work is pretty incredible Dave McKean also has some really georgous stuff.
I’ll also second the Bosch and Goya suggestions!
Well, I don’t want to divert what could be a very usefull thread for lots of people by getting into an art related argument (the Blue Pixel prooves that you’ll never please everybody…) , so again… if a mod wishes to delete the link due to potential offensive material, then there will be no argument from me

I haven’t clicked the links in this thread cuz I’m at work now, but in the realm of comic book art I nominate Tim Vigil’s work on Faust (graphic nudity, Satannic worship and blood galore) and Bill Sienkiewicz’s (abstract and schizoid) work for Marvel Comics, especially New Mutants.
