#144

WOW AWESOME STUFF MAN! i was wondering how long would u actually take for one? i mean… i really wan that sorta style in my work… inspirational.

#145

Maui69: thank you, it takes about 2-3h on each one

#146

Great stuff! Your paintings have such a sense of movement to them! Lots of interesting brush work. Are you using mostly standard brushes or your own customized ones?

#147

Damselfly: thanks :bounce:, i use both defaults and custom.

#148

Good lighting on your work. May be in some places too many bright highlights - but it’s your style. Nice. It doesn’t bother me relly - I only wonder if some of the pix would be better off with less light flicks…

karina
p.s. my personal favorite is on page 1 - 9th painting (stadium some sort) - really cool.

#149

Hey again… yeah… i was wondering… how did u start off or practice to get to this sort of skill level… and like could you post up like some links where it would be a good place to start? i really wanna start something like that… and how do you know when to use each brush for different texture??

#150

hey thanks people !

Maui69: here is an early step, i have blocked out the major shapes:image

3-4h

#151

man… that is freaking awesome… the link did help… but i mean, do you have any links or book reccomendations fer me to get to understand how light hits different surfaces and stuff?

#152

SamsonsReaper, I really adore your work, I think your speedpaintigs got in the meanwhile
kind of legendary or so :scream:
But I wonder about a thing, how did you learn poses and anatomy so well
(I’m asking with especially this picture in mind http://features.cgsociety.org/gallerycrits/209606/209606_1142027515_medium.jpg)

Do you work with refs or did you study anatomy books or it’s just an natural ability.

#153

thanks guys!

Maui69: sorry dont know any perticular books , i just practiced alot, watched how light works in movies, irl, photos.

Vyse-soa:
hehe i wouldnt call myself legendary. Anatomy …thats a tough cookies, i did study photos, theories, and practiced alot. Sometimes i do need refs when i get stuck and need some aid.

heres a new one, feeaaar meeee …hehe

#154

I was just curious about that, hehe still searching for shortcuts for learning anatomy even though I know that there aren’t any, lol :scream:

This one so beep rocks :buttrock:

#155

Hi,

Your work is awesome, very full of life and just viewing this thread is getting my blood moving faster - some form of painter’s adrenaline. Anyways - love the work, think I’ve been admiring your sketchbook on conpcet art a longgg time ago. Gotta say thanks your processes and hope one day I will be better then you hehehehehe (no comparision), seriously love your subject matter and as Gord mentioned your compositions do kickass - loved that one where the guy is walking into the tunnel with the 7 lights. Really captures that feeling you get when gettting out of the harshness of an enivonment and being surrounded by cold steel and cement

be back soon,
Matt

You have an amazing gift my friend, yet it all seems very random, maybe now you should start connecting the dot.
