The Igors have just produced a revision of the RPF_Saver layer shader that renders a correct Normals channel. See: http://www.eias3d.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=120&pid=561#pid561
That makes using it in After Effects and such feasible, specially when dealing with relighting tools such as Normality, which was discussed in this forum time ago: http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?f=186&t=791941&highlight=rpf_saver
(By the way, Stefan Minning, Normality’s author, is experimenting with a derivative of that plugin that would produce an occlusion pass inside After Effects, amongst other very interesting things: http://www.minning.de/software/occlusionist)
