Rotating view in Rhino 4...

#1

Hello to everybody!

I am very new to Rhino 4 so this question may sound very strange.

When working in the Perspective viewport I would like to rotate my view around the currently selected object. When I zoom in and try to work on smaller details and then try to rotate the view so I can see the current object from another angle my view just flies all over the place and I get lost. I am really not sure around what point the view is rotated but it sure isn’t around the object I have selected. In Cinema 4D it is pretty easy to rotate around a selected object, point or polygon. But now that I’m working with Rhino I just can’t figure it out. I have tried CTRL + RightMouse button, CTRL + SHIFT + RightMouse button and just the right mouse button without success.

I hope somebody here can tell me what I need to do or what I’m doing wrong or whatever…

Thanks in advance to all!

William

Have you tried the zoom selected command?

It is an icon at the top (mag glass with 2 small yellow circles)

Thank you too! That really did help me…

also check out the Rotate relativ to view command versus the relative to wolrd Axis.

its in the Rhino Options>View section.
