pha3z I may do a rerender with the tires a little smushed, working on a couple of other things at the moment…Mental ray is kicking my ass with interior architectural renders and shadow artifacts… hehe

This project will be expanded on sometime in the future, I want to make this bad boy rumble down the street :wink:

Zooyorkbmxer modeled in max 6, rendered in Mental Ray… I may rerender now that I have a bit more understanding of settings in Mental Ray.

i cant make anything in that program…
i guess its cause ive been using it for a day lol
im more used to bryce

How did you do the render? What program are you using? if you’re using Max, I’d like to know so I can render my ferrari wip like that.

Hey everyone, thanks for responding! This was modeled in Max 6 using polymodeling techniques. The renders are done in Mental Ray. First render(with enviro) is made with an hdr and a key light, along with a couple of dim fill lights. Others are studio enviro renders, using self illuminated panels for reflections and lighting.

I couldn’t imagine tearing down a half million dollar rolls royce and throwing a hemi in it for drags, haha, some brits would have fits about it. :slight_smile: I love it man.

rofl great concept mate , and great modelling too , ive never been a fan of old cars but this is just great, i laughed at the thought of some old timer , vintage-rally-goer driving this thing at 160mph with false teeth flying out and wig left on the tarmac some 2km behind

Hehe Pezz, that would be an odd 1 wouldn’t it? I’m thinking of something more Dr. Frankenstein, like this pro street rolls. I may make a lowrider out of a ferrari hehe Nah, but I will come up with something :wink:
