dude…sweet…

Love it, Richard!
Very clever.
Tough challenge:
Twisty Dairy Queen ice cream is dispensed into a cone.
The ice cream and cone fall and go splat.

I hope you’ve sent that video to EITG for the gallery, Richard
Fun and brilliant. That bit where the metal spirals/bends into a spring was done with deformations?
Thanks guys.
Easily done with Swage and Runline but no, it’s just a shear over bend deform.
I then export the deformed cylinder from EI as a model and replace it so Rodeo can play with it.
ok, this one falls under the category of ‘sprint animation’…couldn’t have done it without rodeo…quite a risk considering i had all of a day to experiment with it before i started(and a total of about 24 hours to delivery). thankfully it’s pretty easy to figure out and pretty stable…
the ridiculous speed of EIAS had me cranking out shot after shot in the last few weeks…
it’s all being seen on a convention hall floor in a huge array of plasma screens and a LED strip that goes around the entire million dollar booth…along with plasma screens at every station…
at this point my eyes are crossed and i’m slightly delerious…but i’m getting paid…
Nice job!
Yes, Rodeo is great and Electricimage can crank out images fast but in the end it’s the artist that makes the job.
Well done. Congrats!
Very nice.
As Richard says, the software is important, but more important it’s the artist that makes the job. BTW, very interesting the material you used, it looks as A-Sem.
FelixCat
thanks…originally i was going to use A-Sem, but i upgraded from 6.5 so it doesn’t seem to see that shader, so i did it the old fashioned way…compositing…
lovely animation, that’s what EI has always been about for me, blistering speed of turnaround for broadcast quality animation.
Good to see Rodeo can do useful things like this, all I’ve done is bounced a cube off a Herman Miller chair so far (good fun even at that !!!)
yeah, it’s a time stealer if you don’t discipline yourself…
i was wondering if anyone has any plans to use a fully rigged character model with it…trying to give each body part the correct mass…kinda like endorphin…if iwasn’t so defecient in my rigging skills, i’d try it…
