right well I'm in

Hi folks,

not overly surprised to see CGT develop in this direction, is a good thing IMO.

for those that are interested, I’m a freelance illustrator located ‘almost’ in Hamburg Germany (story boards layout illustration for ad agencies mostly), but halfway on my way back to New Zealand (August of this year) where I originally come from…just felt it was time

Cheers

Brian

Hi Brian,

Heading back for spring, huh. I agree that this is good thing for cgtalk–the signal to noise ratio has been changing as the membership has gotten larger. what part of NZ are you headed for? i have family in Christchurch.

#4

straight into winter actually… planned that damn well didn’t I :banghead:

Auckland first, and then we’ll see, Wellington is sounding interesting too, may just be a case of where the work is, got family in Christchurch too, may even have a look down that way as well, it’s not a bad city
If I choose to keep the freelance up “and” it is feasible I suppose I could settle in any number of places …worse comes to worse we’ll just end up broke and under a bridge :argh:

Great to see you here, flyingP!!!

Enjoy your trip down to the southern hemisphere! That’s something I love about the CGTalk community… doesn’t matter where you run, you can’t escape us!

Cheers!

edit: btw that ‘trip’ is turning into a nightmare the first quote I just got on getting our stuff down there is €5000 and a bit, that’s not including storage or the stuff I want to airfreight :argh:
