rigging apps?

wow, bummer on the thread cropping here in the Wings forum… 2 pages only, and yet some other forums such as say the C4D forum for instance, have like 18 pages… haha too funny…

anyways, I think it was Sheep that was depicting on one of the now cropped threads, just which app was preferred for boning/animating… I believe it was a free app to boot, though I can’t really remember to be sure…

any assistance on this would be most appreciated…

houdini isn’t free.
houdini master is $18k USD.

And the apprentice doesn’t allow you to import models in.

Bzzzt!

You can both import and export geometry to and from Apprentice. If you don’t like Apprentice’s modeling tools you can use Wings, ZBrush or any other modeler capable of exporting OBJs. Apprentice also supports RIB, DXF, and LW .poly objects, IGES for NURBS as well as an internal geo/bgeo formats.
