Rig controller problems

Hello,

so I finished making a caterpillar and I wanted to make controllers for it’s rig.

I looked up some tutorials on YouTube but they said to change the IK Settings to “ikRPsolver” so I can use a controller via “Pole Vector”. The Problem with that is, that everytime I do that, the joint turn by 90°.
It would be really great if somebody would know some solution.

Try setting up something before applying the IK:
with the joints selected, in Animation Mode, in Skeleton Menu --> Set Preferred Angle
Then apply the IK.

This should work, if it doesn’t try to eliminate not zero values from the rotation channels by moving those values in Joint Orient fields, in the Attribute Editor. The rotation channels should be zeroed out.
