Title: Retrofuturistic Bike
Name: Carlos Agell Sogbe
Country: Venezuela
Software: CINEMA 4D, Photoshop

Heres one of my last designs/renders , based in retrofuturism ( take an old subject and reform as a future one keeping its identifying elements) this is a Retrofuturistic Bicycle i made for the C4Dcafe Challenge "Dream Machines: Future concept vehicles) its based on an early bycicle design (around 1880’s) but now the second wheel became a gyroscopic engine that gives balance to the machine. Project was made entirely in Cinema 4D and Photoshop for color correction.

here you can see another view:

and here a reference image and a wireframe:

i hope you like it,

Cheers,

Carlos

@behrooz:thx, yes, its a kind of gyroscopic engine

@Billabong: thx, i forgot to say , that besides the curare logo, all materials are Cinema procedural shaders, tire material has a displacement map based on mix 2 “tile shaders”

Excellent work. And fantastic idea. I could see that working. The render has a strange steaming lamp, otherwise it works perfectly.

I could never understand how those people in the late days drove that original bike. How do you mount that without splitting you pants?! You jump? Come down from a balcony?

Really cool design. The only thing that bugs me is that the back tire doesnt touch the ground.
