I posted on here recently regarding a similar problem where, when importing texture maps into Mari the resolution of ‘paint through’ images was far from adequate.
I ended up fixing this simply by changing the size of the UV map to 4k in Mari. The textures are for a game and as I was texturing a relatively small object at the time, I decided to scale the patches back down to 512x512 which was fine.
However, I have unwrapped and am about to texture the buildings in the scene, and even at 2048x2048 the resolution is just poor.
I have tried spreading the different faces of the building across 2 tiles, and even scaling up the front facing faces for higher resolution but it has not helped.
The buildings are incredibly simple, one poly per side.
Any ideas whats happening?
