Replacement animation Group Naming

#1

Hi,

When I import my models I get correct names with padding on the fact files.

01, 02, 03 etc.

But the groups (models in the project window) all have same names.

group2, group2, group2…etc.

In order for cycling the models to work the groups must be sequential.

Anybody know a fast way to fix it, or where I am setting it up wrong?

The models are being exported out of Maya as Objs, from a cloth sim.

Thanks.

The group name doesn’t come from the FACT file name. It’s embedded in the file. Why? Because one FACT file can consist of any number of groups.

So I cleared my Maya cloth scene of everything but the simulation. Ran a script, which exports objs, batched processed them in O2F and then I have no way of batch importing them into EIAS. Use to be command on import menu?

So I drag all of them on the EIAS icon and they load out of order. All the group names are synomous. I have squentially padded facts but I need groups.

Where did I go wrong. Is there a way to fix it? Thanks in Advance.

Ok. According to my R&D, EIAS never batch imported. I thought it did and it still seems it should. However, I was able to get it all to work with Maya. Then I exported to EIAS.
I will have more to say after I create more samples.

It’s my first successful test of cloth in EIAS with the use of Maya simulator.
It’s just a walksample without the character.
