Rendering reflections without the opjects

I am rendering a set of objects on one layer and their reflection on the windows behind those objects on a separate layer. I am thinking this will enable me to add glass distortion to the reflection. in after effects. Is there a way to render out the reflections while the objects are not visible?

Take a look at Arnold AOVs and RenderSetup.
