Hi,
I would like to render fluids flowing on surfaces (they are restricted to “live” on a surface). My simulation consists of a mesh and a bunch of functions (color-per-vertex representing the height of the fluid for time t). I wonder what would be the best way to render such data in Maya so that the results will look as realistic as possible.
I played a bit with Mental Ray materials and got OK results. However, it involves a lot of tweaking of my data. Any suggestions/ideas? Do you think converting my data to particles will be better in this scenario?
Thanks.
