Just a little update from Matt Hoffman on Renderama issues in Leopard.
"According to the Renderama manual, slaves are added via their IP addresses (eg 192.168.1.10). Previous versions of Rama could usually resolve a domain name (eg cherry.mydomain.com) into the IP address, but this was not a supported feature and was not tested when we rewrote the guts of Rama for version 7.0.1 to get around the Leopard bugs.
Therefore, please make sure you are using the IP address of your slave and not the domain name. Customers using domain names instead have reported that Rama master will crash when a slave is not available on the network."
