Render test – Caustics

A caustics question came up on the icr and I thought I would post this caustics test, which originally was put together by MoodyB way back in December 2004.( hope he doesn’t mind!)

What are the times on those caustic renderings? Just curious.

I got 1:00 on the downloaded file.
NvidiaGo6800 and 2 GHz single processor.

Thanks for posting by the way (and thanks to Moody). Nice scene to break down for learning.

edit:
upped the photons to 120000. render time: 1:59 (apparently linear) and a good bit crisper…
