Nice mate, looks good

Haha, the kid im babysitting atm came over inspected your image, then promply stated that the alien was a “screamer” that screams to kill people and the soldier was shooting a “light bazooka” because aliens are scared of light. Haha

#3

looks nice, could you say something about image stats (poly count, texture maps…)

#4

Looks great, but the size of the image doesn’t do it justice (kinda like our tiny little thumbnails in the grad program). Could you post some close ups of the soldier and alien?

Ok, so seriously, what’s going on here at CGtalk? Why do some really good pieces get no stars or views (such as this one) while others which are obviously undeserving get soo many views and stars? The rating system and views just don’t seem to make any sense here… Not that that stuff should matter, I just find it strange, that’s all…

I’ve posted an image about 3 days ago, and more than a thousand people has seen it, and I got just one critic, :banghead: I mean, it’s not that I might deserve more for what I did on my picture, in fact it isn’t that good, but I’ve seen worse posts these days and they get more credit and critic. I feel ignored  Please guys just say the worst about my work I can handle it…!!!

thanks a lot for your words friends…
dARCKLOWN: hehe nice story…thanks for liking my work man…

milivoj popovic: thanks…well its better if i dont mention polycount here…as this project of mine was not for any game but intended for movie quality poster…so this is all highpoly scene. My basecage for character and the creature is fairly low but then i smoothed them all in the end.

Gordon Moran: thanks gordito…i know its my fault to post this image which is not showing much of the character or creature…as you already know i made this for our school poster…i guess that’s why no one is able to see what’s going on and there are so less posts. anyways there’s a link on bottom of my first post got highres image…and i’m giving that link here again…so hope that will be good enuf…and yeah its been an awesome experience of my life sitting next to such great friends like you, faydog, jesse, germain and offcoz sweetheart colby…and specially last night grad party and i was knocked out so bad, i slept in the lawn for whole night and whatmore i was wearing my shirt inside out, i still gotta crazzy hangover  …i’m gonna miss you guys so very much…love u all

betito: ya man i know its pity when you do such hardwork and it doesnt pays off like you wanted…but i guess its art and its subjective…so some ppl like it and some dont

jdsb: thanks brotha…i appreciate your words…and yeah its been a long way and there’s a lot more to achieve and i’m still learning…but now i dont really wanna work on my personal project for some time and wanna work on some official projects…so "I NEED JOB " :scream:

aazimkhan: what to say bhai…without you i dont think this wud have been possible atall…your grilling critics, your gr8 help made me see my work more indepth and get better at it…thanks a lot

and here’s the link to my demoreel which you can download…

keep the good work

#15

hey not bad man!!.. very nice and detailed models u got there and your textureing is very well done too!!.. over all its a gr8 job done but if i might point out something that cought my eyes, i’d say the proportions of the human character looks a bit odd, mayb the arms are a bit too short and the upper part (from the top of the head down to piovit point) is much taller then the lower part (from piovit point down to the bottom of the feet). Those should be equal. Well thats abt it from me… hope that helped… orrite man keep up the gr8 works, wish u all the beast

This guy and creature is from my recent modeling and texturing demoreel. This marine soldier is reminded of his bad memories of killings of his family and human species as these creatures are invading earth. So he’s called to fight back and take revenge for all the dectruction happened and eliminate these enemies.
