Redi-Vivus.com - Reloaded

After all the trials and tribulations it looks like Redi-Vivus.com is reloaded.
Try it out and post here if it works for you.

Interestingly I read about how 2009 was the worst of years, I think it was the best of years; as the worst of times brings out the best in people.

Following I say thank you to Jennifer at Autodesk, Bobby, Jurgen, Daniele & Terry. The best of people.

And as for me…I’m probably the worst of people. But I do bring out the best in people. So you’d better say thank you to those above people…they deserve it.

And as for you…you got more free downloadable training than any other 3d application. So by April I expect you…to be educated people. :slight_smile:

Thanks for all of the hard work that went into this. It is greatly appreciated and its an extremely vailuable resource for all of us Softimage users.

Note: I am trying to download the cloth.rar for today and I am running into problems. The download starts fine, it mentions it will be roughly a 10min download, but after 30sec it stops.

I just wanted to pass this information along.

Please disregard the above note, I got the file to download fully. The server must have just been getting hit heavily from the abundance of downloads.

Is there a preferred way to play the files (.xml and .flv)?

(Probably a dumb question, but my knowledge of .xml and .flv is a bit sparse as of yet.)

Hi,

the video player www.videolan.org/vlc/ can play them, so can the player from Adobe.

We dont block or lock any email (free or not) accounts on this site at all. have you checked the junk folders and then marked it as safe??

If so – and or – go and make a hotmail account for yourself, just for this purpose for the downloads

Thanks for advice! Maybe there is some problems with our mail server. Anyway i made new mail account at gmail.com and after that everything was fine!
One more question-is there any chance to download again some video tutorials. It was New-Year holidays and many peoples (as i know) didn’t wacth over news in CG world. I interested in

Unfortunately not, as the server copies the file for that day to download location, and it’s not possible for us to ‘reset’ the clock back in time - internet clock :slight_smile:

But don’t worry, by the time you have got (and learned!!) all the others I’m sure that the time will fly by and those will be ready for you :slight_smile:

In my opinion the best solution for Letterbox will be some kind of torrent (if it’s possible of course). Single server always will have problems with so many inquiries. They holded out first week of work because of New Year holidays, and many peoples didn’t know good news about redi-vivus.com
