This is just another environment practice, took about 4 hours.

I know the focus is supposed to be the contraption with the rings around it but it just kind of disappears in the image (also might be due to very low resolution). Everything, especially the focal point, appears washed. I’d add more contrast.

I agree. Your main focal point is depicted with washed out colors and low contrast, while you convey a lot of solidarity in the rocks in the foreground in terms of values and colors, yet the rocks are not what’s important in this composition.
