Recruiting 2d Sketch/Concept Artist For Established Project

#1

Hi All,

I’m looking for someone to assist with developing 2d concept art & sketches for an upcoming game. THIS IS NOT A MMORPG. Further details on the game can be provided once you are under NDA, but basically it is a futuristic war simulation/action game.

We have two artists already and I would like to add a third, due to the volume of sketch & concept art required.

This is not your average ‘hay guyz lets make a mmorpg about furries!!’ project. First of all, it’s not a MMORPG. It’s a game design that I think is realistic, executable, and will be popular. Second of all, the people working on this are experienced. I’m a MBA student with an undergraduate degree in computer science and over 10 years experience in designing interactive entertainment. Other members of our development team are similarly experienced if not more.

OK, enough about that, let’s talk about what I expect and what I’m willing to offer.

What I expect is someone who I can communicate ‘draw me a <…>’ in plain English and they can turn out a sketch or two of something that looks cool and creative. Also, as we are still designing the universe, you would have an opportunity to really contribute to the aesthetics and feel of the entire universe, not just do simple pre-model sketches. I would expect someone to be able to contribute about 5-10 hours a week on average to the project.

We have no initial capital, nor do I expect to find any anytime soon, so this is not a pay-by-the-hour job by any stretch of the imagination. What I do offer is handsome & lifetime royalties on the project revenues (which should be fairly respectable), the chance to build a resume and portfolio, and the ability to shape the look & feel of a game universe that may become quite popular. This is a great opportunity for a college or even talented high school student who wants to build their portfolio before seeking full-time game industry development.

I’m willing to work with non-Americans as long as they’re willing to get paid in USD

Please send me a note if you are interested along with a link to some of your work and I’ll follow up with more information.

Email to allegro@conmolto.org would be great. Thank you!
