Realviz MatchMover 4 to EI

#1

Is anyone using a MM4 to EI workflow?

I am getting a solid track in MM and it is importing properly into EI using the .rz3 format.

The problem… in EI, the beginning of the shot looks good but the track drifts off couse in the middle and then gets back on track at the end of the shot.

Any tips would be appreciated.

cheers

FBX export gave me better results with a quicker setup in EI.

hey,

Are you having a excelent track in MM but is it not the same in EIAS?
Do you want to know How to correct the prb in EIAS?

Hey Tomas,

That would be huge.
I nearly have it but still have to resort to tweaking individual frames.
Any info you have would be most appreciated.

Hey,

EIAS routine importing any 3d tracked camera from Boujou, MM, SynthEyes…

  1. Import motion (animation menu)

  2. open the Camera info window of your 3d tracked camera.

  3. Change the camera Key from Implicit to Explicit

  4. Change the reference Key from Implicit to Explicit.

  5. Animation menu / use the comand “fit selected objects to curves”

5a) show your “Tool pallet” and use the “hide motion path”, otherwise EIAS will have a heavy slow-down in the viewports always trying to redraw… I have a prj here with 5000 frames… argh.

  1. Start frame and Stop frame… your in and out

  2. Maximun fit distance box: use something like 0.0001
EIAS will force the data from your 3d tracked camera to be exactly like the source.

  3. add the camera data to f-curves window (double-clicking in each channel of camera translation and rotation)

  4. in F-curves window double click in each channel and change it to Hermite type.

  5. use the “tab-tab” command in f-curve window to constrain the cursor movement to modify each keyframe data only in “Y” axis.

  6. its time to see where the bumps in your camera are.

Hope this help.

Thanksss

Thanks Thomas.

I was almost finished with the same solution.
The ‘Hermite’ tip was most appreiated after doing most of it with bezier.
