Real flash-kinda-problem!

#1

dudes. i have a problem. i don’t know where to post it so i thought i’ll give it a try in here…
well i made a simple animation in plasma 3d… and exported it into a flash file. and when i import it to flash then flash randomly places it somewhere in the screen. and when i want to move it i’ll have to move a picture in every frame. and that really sucks. is there any way to precicely determine where flash have to place imported images… or any way to move all images in one time (frame 0-100 for an example)

hope you got what i had in mind :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah, this is easy. First you press f8 or something and create a movieclip item. Import the frames into this movieclip item. Now, when you want to move the animation on screen, you just move the movieclip with the frames in it.

I hope you understand what i mean.

yeah thnx, i tried that and it worked but this dot that represents the center of the movie clip is still not center when i import my images into movie clip, because imported images are way off center  but thats not a problem actually

edit: actually it is a problem. cause when i try to move it by entering cordinates, then the cordinates are set by the center or smth. damn it’s hard to explain it :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah, i understand what you mean. i don’t know a smart way to solve this. But i do have a stupid way to solve this for you, hehe. Place the movieclip with the frames centered in another movieclip and use this movieclip on the stage in flash.

Hope this helps, hehe.

i think i know what you mean. basically then i have like a double-movievlip? i think that’ll work

#6

yep, this is what i mean. There is probably a smarter way in which you can move multiple frames, probably with some of those onion skin buttons or something. I don’t know. Anyway, the double movie clip thingie works for now. You can always look for a better solution later on.

cant u just see, the width and height of the mc in the propertie box, and adjust your coordinates accordingly?

#8

insert > new symbol > movieclip. then import your swf . then drag from library to stage.

There is an ‘edit multiple frames’ button on the timeline window, press it, select all the keyframes\frames that need to be centered. You will now see a new thingy up on the timeline window that you can adjust its two sides to encompass more or less frames, make sure it encompass them all. Then open up the align pallet, make sure the “to stage” button is pressed and then press the center horizontal and vertical buttons. Hope this helps.
