Hi, i have an ecosystem set up and random plans in the system turn white. Is there any way to fix this issue? It isnt a specific plant, it is just random plants in the ecosystem.
random white plants in an ecosystem.
Check the overall color of the ecosystem.
Almost every plant has a built in color variation, the overall color can sometimes make for unwanted coloration. I normally setup a medium color, and then apply it to the eco. If you are using normal population, make sure you repopulate after making any changes.
Most of the time I have to remove the unwanted variation in post though.
It is set to a pretty mid green color, and i dont have random variation on. They appear to be a render artifact. They are blown out almost pure white.

And to make it worse its an animation, fixing it in post would be a lot of time i could spend on other parts of my thesis.
Could be the texture filtering in the render options.
If the image around the leaves of the plant is white that can sometimes happen.
I dont have any texture filtering on. Should i try it with a few different filter settings?
Texture filtering helps reduce flicker on vegetation for animation. Not sure if it’ll fix your problem though.
Where these “white vegetation” created using PAINT ECOSYTEM button. IT has happened to me before. I deleleted the vegetation and recreated it.
Nope it is a fractal Ecosystem. I wound up building a new ecosystem with new plants, it doesnt have the white plants, it looks similar but not as random as i would like because of the lack of spices variation, im going to try to add more plants, hopefully they wont turn white.
