Races Of The Middle Earth - Character - Ila Solomon

#141

I really like your charactere Ila  really nice, and could really be in the tolkien Story.

i mean most of the thread i ve see look like more star trek or star war race  but your race is definitly a middle Earth Race… :bounce:

Erik, That is a big compeliment for me, thank you very much.

ok, I’ve done some updates: The legs, but still WIP (also the are between legs & stomach will cover with cloth, just like the sketch)

hey man, looks great (love the horns btw, brilliant way of doing them)

If i might make 1 suggestion, why not shrink the head down or make the bdoy bigger? I think that woulld really add to his size! right now his head feels to big imo…

great work tho man, your sketch was breathtaking to! definetly a nice bit of modeling here! can’t wait to see full texture…and hands…tho stumps are interesting to

#146

Hi Friends, yes…after watching it & watching & watchin…I agree with you, the head is big, the legs are to thick & the stomach is small!..thank dudes, I’ll change/adjust things soon.
The back is still very rough, but i’ll show the back-stage too.
Regards
Ila

#150

ok…

no problem, there’s always a new challenge expecting you. And I’m sure you will join.
just tell us why… why you didn’t finish this…

:hmm:

#151

a few reasons:
I was busy with two other projects (Kirt’s alien & mine!) & a commercial ad too.
I was tierd of that … & …
I was not happy with that!
I’ll finish it another time.

cheers, see you next challenge.

#152

Too bad, was hoping to see this thing finished, maybe next challenge you can do both 2d and 3d, you have some great work, especially liked your interview by CGTALK, great stuff, good luck with this challenge and maybe see you in the next!

Hi Sel
I’m sorry for that, next time i put more effort! thanx a lot
cheers

#154

still one of my favorites, and I really love the name.

Are you planning on finishing soon? because really this is one of the coolest characters. ALso the horn “tutorial” you put is the first way I have read to make good horns of any shape…SO not only a keen character but I learned something!

Sorry you couldn’t finish this time…life has a way of doing that sometimes :frowning:

I like your entry so much King, very original (but mine was not!)
