#3

Is the stomach filled with gAS ?

#4

Very good features! What’s up with his stomach? Too much soup?

I love the detail already put in to this!

#5

Good model !

#6

w00t that’s an awesome more, Sir Manfred! Oh, and a great concept too!! Looking forward to seeing the back story too

Are you using Lightwave? That looks a bit like a LW render. If so, you should check out that FIs_wrinkle plugin to add cool details into the body  I love the ears!

What might be cool, and to add some extra detail to that very cool bent neck, would be to add the spinal bones sticking out - I’d imagine that the spine would be taking quite a lot of pressure from the weight of the head, and it might be cool to show that by having the skin pulled tight over the spinal column

#7

Thanks people!

Leigh: Im not using LW… its Max all the way  I have thought about the spinal thingy you mentioned and i thought that i would come to details like that when the general body proportions is done  Thanks again for your reply.

#8

Heya very cool character like I said to ya earlier. THe only thing I would work on right now, is giving that gut some gravity

Looking forward to more

Thanks lil D’

Here is an update for you people, not a big one, but a fair one…

Thanks for any replies and stuff like that.

The background story:
These are the Murdûk people  They are a constant travelling people. Althou, they sit all the time. They sit on the backs of giant lizzard like creatures. (Wich i will also model) Its common for this race to have rather big bellys, thats because they dont move much and doesn’t have many eating breaks. Since they sit almost all the time, they have developed these odd crooked backs. That is for getting them a nice and comfy sit.

very nice fred

cant wait to see a nice texture on him + his equiptment

#11

Looking pretty good, the texture is gonna play a huge part in this. What ya got planned??

Nice work as usual manfred

#12

All is good for a start of a begining  good thing that your just putting the basics in first then deal with the realism later. as long as you get your basics down on that model then do what ever u can think of

Keep it comming don’t give up man

#13

Thanks mates.
Please! More crits. I would like to hear if you have any ideas for stuff to add to this charater

Last update for tonight… gotta get some nice, cozy sleep

Regards!

#16

youre getting good bro…!!! it shows…you’ve come along way …keep it up and I want to see this guy finished!!!:bounce:

#17

That’s looking good  I like the addition of the spine bumps - very cool  Although they do need some tweaking in terms of their shape - at the moment, they just look like warts or something. Spinal bones have a very specific shape, but I’m sure you are going to do that anyway

Cool stuff though, looking forward to the next update

#18

Looking awesome…such detail from one post to the next…great job Sir…you’re really kicking ass on this one…keep it up:thumbsup:
