Hi there, I’m going to model the Drendath. It’s a creature that has been conceptualized by my co-worker Hennie Blaauw. You can read up about it in his post on the 2D Challenge forum.

Here’s a roughed out version of the head. after I’ve modelled the whole head I will go into more polygonal detail before I finish it.

Below I just added a temporary procedural texture onto his head.

Please let me know what you guys think.

What do I think?
I think it’s coming on very fine, very fine indeed. What ever your doing keep doing it.
I really like the spots, nice touch would be good to add more.

After about a month of doing nothing, here is an update. And just remember this dude is a quadraped, um… he walks on all fours.

Well here is all I could get done before the deadline. I know there aren’t any textures or good lighting, or even an environment. So I used the good old “Clay Render” technique. The good thing about t is that it really shows off the modelling detail :).

Please comment all you want.
