hey guys.
boy o boy - my first challenge :bounce:
wait a minute, thats scary :eek: ,oh boy, holy moly.
the competition, the pressure the crit.

but need your help and so suggest that you suggest if the following suggestion that im about to suggest would be the most suggestible suggestion !

suggestion - after the return of bilbo baggins many years ago 2 of the younger more impressionable hobbits grew restless when hearing the tales of adventure and exitement from baggins.
they decided that they had had enough of the old ways and left the hobbit dwelling in search of magic and adventure.they travelled far and met a powerful magician who taught them all that he knew and gave them his books on magic to take with them and study.they continued to grow more powerful, and boastful! one day a dark wizard overheard them telling of their superior power and challenged them to a duel. one of them was killed in this match but the other (still needs name) survived, defeating the evil wizard.this experiance made him grow angry and vengeful.the death of one dark wizard was not enough.he would live out the rest of his life seeking and destroying evil wizards. ( it was actually him who in the end defeated saruman, you just wont be able to see him cause he is an exceptionally small hobbit, and cannot be seen.

i dunno…maybe he uses a spell to cross himself with an orc so he can be more powerful.
maybe not.
a whole new concept entirely?

hey guys and girls ( asian prefered ) hehe

first the lame excuse for my dissapearance - my modem hasnt been working for the last ‘almost’ 2 weeks.
now the real excuse, i got caught up in the flamboiant night life of cape town, south africa and have been totally unfocused on work and more focused on the sexy ladies at local hiphop clubs.
apologies, please accept.

right, now that i have my prioroties in life set straight again, on we go…here is the first concept drawing of my middle earth creature. i still need to come up with the cunning story behind him and i hope you like him cause im not good at character design and i think this is the first descent character ive ever drawn.drawings of the body are still coming, cause my anatomy sucks but he is going to have cannon legs with the back-bent animal like ankles and massive hoof feet.the armour i think will be slightly samurai’ish.

Looks like a cross between an orc and Iron Maidens mascot. The model will be cool - and a nice one for your showreel! (well, better than singing tokoloshis with big yellow heads ;))

hey guys heres what ive done so far.working very slowly and only a bit at a time.going to finish this model this week though.at least thats the aim.then onto texturing.

please crit the look of the model as it is so far…

oh yeah, story …

HISTORY OF ORIGIN OF ‘ORBULL’ ( thats the name of MY precious )

There was a small clan of orcs chilling out in their home land - New Zealand of course. You know, just watching a game of rugby in the local fields having a beer and talking bout orc stuff when they all started getting quite…ummm, " lonesome ".so after the game they decided to go and find some loving. However all the female orcs of newzealand had been killed in a recent burning of their village while the males where at war with some strange short dudes who had a ring of power with them. )details, details ).
The point is, the orc dudes had to turn their fustration towards livestock, and since the Man race in those parts had already taken the sheep, they had to settle for cattle.This was proberbly a better choice anyhow as sheep are really quite small creatures.

And so was born the Orbull race.Fiercly strong half orcs with the power to moo and ability to chew by moving their jaws sideways.
They became a strong race of farmers, due to their immense hunger for grass and such farm land treats, and at the same time became great warriors - killing off their pure orc blood ancestors who where pillaging their lands.

The head looks great, but I’m not crazy about the body. I think it’s too buff for an orc, or even a half orc for that matter.

yes well, blame marvel for that.

im using a x-men action figure for reference.not sure the name of the character.its like a huge hairy snow dude. like a bigfoot or sasquatch.any way,there still does nee to be work done on the body but i like all the muscles.remindes me of the man i never was and never will be - not as long as im an animator !

Perhaps ill tone it down afterwards.

k, update on the model-going to start on the legs and armour now.
any comments on the geometry?
im really struggeling with the mouth.i always hated modeling mouths.i find it so hard -why ? any help or guidance?
