Races of Middle Earth - Character - Ingram

Mind staggeringly awesome challenge concept Mods. Ultra thanks :scream:

Now to get to work. I want to make something old like that you could have read about in the Silmarillion, <(very old tales of middle earth.) Therefore the race would be dead before the tales of the ring and such.

Maybe it will be something evil that Melkor created to harass the elves. That was wiped out in the flood created by the Valar.

Now that IÂ’ve shown what a Tolkien geek I really am IÂ’ll just amble around the forum to see that I donÂ’t step on anybodyÂ’s toes and start planning. Hehehe.
Good luck to all

Cool concept Ingram

I think you could solve the leg problems by bringing the body forwards so that the upper part of the leg runs down and back to the knee bend.

See you when your modeling.

Thanks for comments. I’m still unsure of the legs myself. A little more wip time and I’ll have them and the hands hammered down. I’ll post some sketches tonight.

Here’s their story for now:
The Voa were a species of large insect in the time of the first age. They could be found in the great forests of middle earth where trees were large, as were the creatures around them. Standing about chest height to an elf, the Voa were a type of wood bole that tunneled and colonized the insides of the great trees, often to the trees detriment. The Elven Princes of the day after finding a large colony of Voa were infesting one of their grand gardens, took up arms and fire in order to stem the spread of the destruction. Broken and scattered the fragmented colony drifted to the north. Perhaps called by the dark lord Mekor, then known as Morgoth. With the corrupted powers of the Silmarils, and horrible training by his vile general Sauron, Morgoth returned the Voa to the elven forests as an evil spike to smite those who had driven them from their homes long ago and a tool to harvest great amounts of lumber to fuel his war machine.
