Canadranc
Deep in the heart of Mirkwood live a most foul race, known as the Canadranc. Their name, which means, “four arms,” derives from the Sindarin language. Canadranc stand roughly five feet tall and have two sets of arms, one attached at the shoulders and a second pair located on the creatures back, overlapping the shoulder blades. They stride from tree to tree, making there homes in the canopy, only coming to the ground in search of prey. Innocent travelers and adventure seekers alike have rarely escaped an encounter with the ferocious Canadranc of Mirkwood. Sharp claws and incredible speed make them vicious opponents.

yep pretty cool concept ,look like gollum with four arms,i assume that at the end the full modelling will look like gol ,story is really cool

#6

My biggest fear right now is that he’ll look like Gollum with four arms. :stuck_out_tongue: I’m going to do what I can to avoid that.

#7

the sketch doesn’t look too gollum like so if you keep with that it shouldl be ok, it looks really cool though

#8

Great concept!!! Hehe. That maybe because I was planning myself to do exactly the same… Well, not exactly, but almost. I was thinking more of a humanoid look (taller than your Canadranc and only two arms)… mi-animal, mi-human hunters of the woods.

Anyway, good luck and I’m sure you’re going to make it great.
Next time I will be faster…hehe. :wip:

I think the Canadranc of the deep Mirkwood will be quite interesting,it's going to be fun to see him/her/it come to life.

Faraguay: Hey next time I’m in Spain I’ll drop you a line then! he he

Virtuoso: I’m currently learning Maya…well I’m messing around with it, I’m only a freshmen in college and don’t get the good classes until next year.

Heres a lil update…
The mouth needs more work and I haven’t started detailing the nose, ignore the rest of the head for now.

Hey that’s looking cool, Chad! Although I do agree that it does look a bit like an alien… but then again, who’s to say that Middle Earth was never visited by aliens, eh?
Cool stuff, looking forward to seeing some more!
